Greenville Tar Heel moves on in District Four Tournament

GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Former ECU number 23 Jay Cannon and his 10-11 year old group from Greenville have moved on in the District Four Tournament. Tar Heel knocked off Newport on Wednesday 16-0. The Greenville group will match up against North State on Thursday.

Tar Heel used a big first and second inning to power them past Newport. The game only went 4 innings because of the 10 run rule.

The Tar Heel vs. North State match up will be Thursday at noon at Elm Street Park.
