Chrysler recalls nearly half a million cars

 A new recall from Chrysler warns consumers that neck injuries are possible in a crash.

The automaker is recalling nearly half a million cars because of a problem with the safety head restraints designed to automatically move forward in rear-impact crashes.

In the U.S., 442,000 vehicles sold were recalled as well as 25,000 in Canada,10,000 cars in Mexico and 12,000 in other places.

The cars affected by the recall:

  • 2011 to 2013 Chrysler Sebrings, Chrysler 200s and Dodge Avenger midsize cars.
  • 2011 to 2012 Dodge Nitro SUVs.
  • 2011 to 2013 Jeep Liberty SUVs.
