Warrants detail evidence seized in search of Greenville mass shooting suspect's apartment

There are new details about the man accused of opening fire in two Greenville parking lots last month, shooting four people before police took him down.

Lakim Faust is now in Central Prison in Raleigh.

And after combing through Greenville Police's most recent search warrant of his apartment, 9 On Your Side can report exactly what police seized as evidence.
Among several boxes of shotgun shells, some still full and some empty, they also found a gun lock and a receipt from "Docs Gun and Pawn" in Greenville for a shotgun.
Police took a copy of the Qur'an, along with several other books and publications on the Muslim culture.
Faust is facing 4 counts of attempted first degree murder. He's due in Pitt County district court at the end of September.

The man accused of randomly shooting four people in Greenville last month has been moved out of Pitt County.

Lakim Faust was booked in Central Prison in Raleigh the evening of July 5th.

A Pitt County judge ordered he go there for safekeeping. Inmates are usually booked for that reason because of their medical conditions or security reasons.

Police originally arraigned Faust in his hospital room at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, a few days after they shot him on Hooker Road.

Faust is being held on a $6-million dollar bond.

He faces four attempted murder charges for the shooting spree that started in the Kellum Law Firm parking lot, moved into the Walmart parking lot, and ended on Hooker Road.
