77-year-old women arrested for forging disability check

GOLDSBORO, N.C. -

The Goldsboro Police Department has arrested a 77-year-old woman for forging the signature to a Social Security Disability check.

On July 9, 2013 police arrested Lillian Joyce Anrews, 77, of Goldsboro from a report made in May. In May, Amanda Michelle Jones reported Ms. Andrews forged her signature on a disability check, and then deposited it into her own account without permission.

Ms. Andrews is charged with one count of Forgery of an Endorsement, one count of Uttering a Forged Endorsement, and one count of Obtaining Property by False Pretense

Ms. Andrews was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $5,000.00 secured bond pending her first appearance scheduled for 07/10/2013.
