ECU police hold active shooter training drill

GREENVILLE, N.C. -

The police force at East Carolina University is undergoing training this week using the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training curriculum.

The exercise took place Thursday afternoon at Tyler Residence Hall on ECU's College Hill.

Lt. Chris Sutton with ECU Police gave 9 On Your Side the inside scoop on active shooter procedures and police active shooter training. The force also demonstrated new equipment that officers will use during a critical incident response.
