KNOXVILLE, TN (WJHL) -

A man accused of breaking into the home of Governor Bill Haslam's father is now behind bars.

Knoxville television station WVLT reports, Joshua Ryan Vandeventer was arrested in Sullivan County on Thursday.

According to court documents Vandeventer is accused of burglarizing "Big Jim" Haslam's home, twice.

The first time - March 20th while he was working for the Haslam family, and again on July 4th.

Court document say items taken during the March burglary total more than $72,000.   The missing items include cash, coins, jewelry and a 1951 SEC championship ring with Jim Haslam's name engraved on it. The ring has yet to be recovered.

During the July 4th break-in, the affidavit says the suspect used a ladder to climb up to a second floor balcony.  The only thing reported stolen during this incident: $500 cash that was hidden in a cigar box in a walk-in closet.

Vandeventer is now being held in the Knox County Jail on $47,000 bond; he's charged with two counts of theft and two counts of aggravated burglary.
