Shots fired in Greenville

GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Shots were fired on West 13th Street in Greenville on Saturday afternoon during an altercation at a residence.

Police say they received a call  just after 2:30p.m. that someone may have been shot. When they arrived at the 400 block of West 13th Street they confirmed that no one had been shot.

Witnesses tell 9 On Your Side that one man at the residence pulled out a gun and started waving it around when a shot went off.  Woman and small kids were in the vicinity but no one was hurt in the incident.

Greenville police took the man into custody.  No name has been released as of yet.
