Rolling Stone cover features Boston bombing suspect

Posted: Updated:

The August 3rd edition of Rolling Stone magazine will feature the surviving Boston bombings suspect, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

Tsarnaev pleaded not guilty to 30 counts related to the bombings, which killed three people and injured more than 260 others.

The cover shows a photo he took of himself.

The story promises to deliver an account of quote, "How a popular, promising student was failed by his family, fell into radical Islam and became a monster."

This isn't a first for Rolling Stone.

The magazine featured a photo of serial killer Charles Manson on its June 1970 cover.
