Jones County deputies arrested a Smithfield man after they smelled marijuana coming from his broken down vehicle.

On July 14, 2013 deputies and State Troopers responded to a vehicle in a ditch on Highway 70 in Jones County. The vehicle had a flat tire.

While on scene a deputy noticed the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. After a brief interview of the driver, a search revealed a pound of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Jodi Andre White, 36, of Smithfield, was arrested and charged with DWI and felony possession of marijuana among other charges. Mr. White received a $10,000 Secured Bond and was placed into the custody of the Jones County Jail.
