Garner slips by Pitt County again, leads 2-0 in American Legion Area One Finals

GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Garner Post 232 jumped out to a 4-0 early lead and then held off Pitt County Post 39 5-4 in game two of the American Legion Area One finals Saturday afternoon.

Garner now leads the series 2 games to none. Garner came from behind and beat Pitt County on Friday night 6-5.

Kyle Cross led Pitt County at the plate with a three run home run. Cross, Davis Kirkpatrick, Matt Sugg and Aaron Clark all had multiple hits for Post 39.

Game three of the best-of-five series is Sunday night at 7pm at Garner.
