Strumming it up at the Summer Guitar Festival

GREENVILLE, N.C. -

People from around the world are strumming it up at East Carolina University at the Summer Annual Guitar Festival.

Saturday kicked off the first day of the festival.

The festival features four days of small group workshops.

Event Director, Elliot Frank says it's about creating a one-of-a-kind experience.

"Having, sort of an intense teaching experience, help people learn a lot about guitar, and get better in a short period of time," said Frank.

Every day the festival host a 4 o'clock and 7o'clock concert features guitarist from around the country.

At the end of the festival, participants have the opportunity to compete in a solo competition.
