Group restores families' photos damaged in tornadoes

MOORE, O.K. -

They were perhaps some of the most precious items lost in this year's Midwest tornadoes- family photos.

Volunteers at the Oklahoma School of Photography are doing what they can to restore history.

Each photograph is carefully cleaned by hand and once cleaned they're sorted into a database and posted on the project's website.  The photos' rightful owners can then come pick them up.

The school is also offering to digitally restore the photographs for free.
