Operation Marry Me Military to give away free wedding

NEW BERN, N.C. -

For the second year in a row, Tryon Palace will host a free wedding this fall.

It's called Operation Marry Me Military. It's a campaign to give a free wedding to one lucky active duty service member and his or her fiancé(e).

The organization is accepting applications for this year's wedding on Veterans Day, November 11.

The free wedding includes complimentary catering, lodging, music, photographers, and wedding cake.

"There's going to be a committee who selects the most deserving candidates, so the best way to go about it is to fill out an application and drop it in the mail ASAP," said organizer Bob Mackowski of Open Aperture Photography in New Bern.

All applications must be postmarked by July 30. A link to the application is found at: www.ommm-craven.com.
