Washington man busted with Marijuana in engine compartment

WASHINGTON, N.C. -

A Washington man was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana after he was caught with four ounces of pot concealed in his engine compartment.

On July 18, 2013 the Pitt County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on David Aksell Bunch, 23, of Washington. During the stop a K-9 unit indicated the presence of a narcotic odor. A subsequent search revealed about four ounces of marijuana concealed in the engine compartment.

Bunch was arrested and charged with felony possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana and felony maintaining a vehicle for the purpose of storing a controlled substance.

Bunch's bond was set at $6,000.
