Child rescued in Charlotte sex trafficking bust

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -

Monday the FBI announced they busted a major child sex trafficking ring, rescuing more than one hundred children. The bust made it the largest child rescue ever in America. "Operation Cross Country Seven" lasted three days and rescued children between 9 and 17 years old. One of the children was rescued in Charlotte. Local and state law enforcement agencies conducted the nationwide takedown.

The FBI and homeland security joined Charlotte Police and Mecklenburg County Child Services and other officials. The agents arrested three sex traffickers in charlotte. They arrested 147 others around the country.
