Teen busted trying to break into Goldsboro home

GOLDSBORO, N.C. -

On 7/29/13 Goldsboro Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress on S. Claiborne Street in Goldsboro. Once on scene, it was discovered the suspects attempted to break into the residence by shattering a rear window to the home causing $200.00 in damage. 

Jamal Mumford,16, of S. Pineview Avenue in Goldsboro was detained at the scene.  Following an investigation, he was arrested and charged with Felony Attempted 2nd Degree Burglary and Injury to Real Property.  He was taken before the Wayne County Magistrate and placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $7,500.00 secured bond pending his first appearance. Additional arrests are expected in this case.
