Patients at Levine Children's
Hospital in Charlotte have a new way to explore their creativity while they get
And it's all thanks to American
Idol and radio host Ryan Seacrest.
The Ryan Seacrest Foundation
opened a multimedia broadcast center at the hospital Monday. It's called "Seacrest
Studios". The facility provides patients with a chance to explore radio,
television and new media.
"I take a lot of
pride in our partnerships and this facility, as you know and as have heard
today, is one of the best in the country," said Seacrest.
Programming will include
game shows, celebrity interviews and performances. It will be broadcast to
patient rooms via closed-circuit TV.
Patients will also get
the chance to serve as disc jockeys or on-air guests.
This is the 5th "Seacrest
Studios" to open. There are also facilities in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Dallas
