MAYSVILLE, N.C. -

A daycare owner and her husband are behind bars after a domestic disturbance ended in a stabbing.

It happened Monday on Eighth Street in Maysville.

Deputies say when they responded to the in progress domestic violence call, they found Lyneneill Lanclos, owner and operator of Golden Child Learning, bleeding from her lip and brusided on the the face and arms. She told them she and her husband, Joaquin Lanclos, had gotten into verbal altercations that got physical.

After exchanging multiple physical blows, Mrs. Lanclos left the home, returned, and, allegedly, stabbed Mr. Lanclos with a kitchen knife on the left side of his upper torso. The knife missed his lungs by less than one half inch and the wound required multiple stitches.

Deputies say Mrs. Lanclos is no stranger to assault, adding that a couple of weeks ago she assaulted a woman in a local fast food drive-thru, beating the women in front of her children, causing severe facial lacerations that required multiple stitches to close.

Lynnell Lanclos is in the Jones County Jail on a 48 hour domestic violence hold. She'll go before a magistrate Wednesday for bond on charges of Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Joaquin Lanclos is also in the Jones County Jail on a 48 hour domestic violence hold. He'll go before a magistrate Wednesday for bond on charges of Assault on a Female.
