Chocowinity man arrested for selling Oxycodone

A Chocowinity man is behind bars after selling Oxycodone to investigators.

On August 7, 2013, the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Drug Unit arrested Michael Lee Hunnings, 30, of Chocowinity.

Hunnings' arrest stemmed from Investigators conducting a controlled purchase of Oxycodone (Schedule II Controlled Substance). The Drug Unit has been working in conjunction with Diversion Investigator Greg Rowe to address the rise in the sale, distribution and abuse of prescription pain medication in Beaufort County.

Hunnings was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance. Hunings was released under a $1,500 unsecured bond.
