    A woman who owns several dogs and cats in Jonesborough faces multiple animal cruelty charges after an animal control officer says he found the animals living in deplorable conditions. Johnson City-Washington County Animal Control Officer Wayne Thomas caught it all on tape.

JONESBOROUGH, TN (WJHL) -

UPDATE: 4:17 p.m.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office has released the names of the man and woman killed in a murder-suicide: husband and wife James Dennis and Amy Dennis.

The Washington County, Tennessee Sheriff's Office confirmed to News Channel 11 that it is investigating a murder-suicide near Jonesborough on Smith Lane.

Officials on the scene told News Channel 11 a man and woman had been dead since Wednesday from apparent gunshot wounds. 

The sheriff says their bodies were found near the back door of the home.

Authorities were tipped off to make a welfare check after the woman did not show up for work. 

Investigators say they are still trying to contact family members to notify them of their deaths.
