CARY, N.C. -

A new "luxury" movie theater is coming to Cary.

The Triangle Business Journal reports the Birmingham-based Cobb Theatres has chosen Waverly Place shopping center as the location for the CineBistro, a theater that "redefines" the concept of dinner and movie.

The theater will feature first-run movies and will serve more food than just typical theater snacks like popcorn and candy. Servers will be on hand to offer an extended menu of entrees, wines and premium drinks.

The TBJ reports construction on the new theater is expected to begin this fall with an opening slated for some time in 2014.

Raleighwood in North Raleigh off of Falls of Neuse Road offers a similar concept of dinner and a movie.

CineBistro currently has locations in Atlanta, Hampton, Va., Miami, Richmond, Va., Tampa, Fla., Tampa/Wesley Grove, Fla. and Vail, Colo.

A sample menu from the theater's Richmond, Va. location can be viewed here.
