New ECU game-day shuttle service unveiled

Posted: Updated:

A pre-game tradition will continue in Greenville. And new traditions will begin.

Beginning August 30th, Freeboot Fridays will continue at the Five Points Plaza in Uptown Greenville.

The dates of the festival will correspond to East Carolina University home football games. Uptown Greenville will host five Freeboot Friday events: August 30th, September 13, October 18, November 8th and November 15th.

As always there will be live music and local entertainment including: Jupiter Jones (Nov. 8) and Matt Philips and Philharmonics (Oct. 18).  Regional acts like Signal Fire (August 30), RubberSoul (Sept. 13), Dark Water Rising, (Oct. 18) and The Fabulous Bel-Airs (Nov. 15) will also take the stage.

Uptown Greenville will also offer a new game-day shuttle service. The shuttle will run from UBE, Winslow's Market and Deli, Sup Dogs and the Varsity club to Dowdly-Ficklen Stadium.  The shuttle will run three hours prior and two hours post game on each home Saturday game (August 31, September 14, October 19, November 9, and November 17).
