GOLDSBORO, N.C. -

On Thursday, August 22, 2013, Goldsboro Police Department's Selective Enforcement Unit arrested Daniel Jacob Craven Jr. on an outstanding First Degree Murder warrant that had been issued out of Orange County, Florida.

Earlier in the month, detectives with the Orange County Sheriff's Office began communicating with the Goldsboro Police Department Investigation Division about locating Daniel Jacob Craven regarding an April 2011 homicide.

Craven is on probation in North Carolina for a criminal charge out of Florida, after having his probation transferred to North Carolina.  Goldsboro Police Investigators confirmed that Mr. Craven was residing with a family member on Annabelle Street in Goldsboro.

Craven was spotted walking in the 100 block of N. Slocumb Street where he was taken into custody without incident.

Craven was placed in the Wayne County Jail under no bond and has a first appearance scheduled for Monday August 26, 2013 at 1:30 p.m.
