GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Big honors for a Pitt County Commissioner.

This past weekend, the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners elected Glen Webb First Vice President.

As part of his duties Webb will represent all 100 counties in the General Assembly.

Two key issues the association lobbied for this year were caps on medical expenses for inmates and protecting county income streams in the tax reform legislation.

"Pitt County's goals will be well-represented. This gives us a voice and actually lets us help determine what the state does and when we speak the legislators listen at this association. This is the first time in over 30 years Pitt County has had someone in this position," said Webb.
