GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Two projects out of East Carolina University received grants from the Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast affiliate.

Both projects work to promote women's health through screening, diagnostic and treatment services. They also look at streamlining care and supplementing costs for breast care patients.

Both projects are led by Brody School of Medicine professors Dr. Kathryn Verbanac and Dr. Nasreen Vohra, a surgical oncologist.

The Susan G. Komen group gave both groups grant money totaling $85,295.
