BULLS GAP, TN (WJHL) -

A Hawkins County woman chose a regrettable hiding place for some stolen cash.

Sheriff's deputies say Christie Black allegedly stole $5,000 from her boyfriend and then hid the cash in her rectum.

According to the Sheriff's Office incident report, deputies were called to the home of Bobby Gulley, 249 North Ridge Road, Bulls Gap, on a complaint that his girlfriend was stealing from him.

Gulley told Sgt. Michael Allen he'd "set a trap" for Black.

Gulley said he placed two envelopes containing $4,000 and $1,000 in $100 bills in an old medicine bag.

When Gulley woke up, he noticed that the contents of the bag were missing.

Gulley confronted Black about the missing money and she admitted to him that she had wrapped it up and hid it in her rectum.

Black allegedly told Gulley she knew he was going to kick her out and she needed the money.

The incident report states that Black attempted to remove the money with a toilet brush and tongs without success.

She was taken to the hospital where the missing items were removed and taken into evidence.
