New 15-minute work out shakes up Tampa Bay

The "15-minute workout" is shaking up the fitness world with claims that a high intensity workout over a short period of time is just as effective as a long exercise regime.

Now Tampa trainer Bob Kissel has documented proof and clients clamoring to talk about his 15 minute MaxQ workout that yields results even after the first week.

"The fact that I can come here, do my 15 minute workout and go to the courthouse clearly makes it a lot better," said Noel Flasterstein, a busy Tampa attorney who started seeing drastic results in just the first few weeks of trying MaxQ.

The MaxQ training routine involves moving through five different exercise machines like you would commonly see at any gym, only these machines are retrofitted with computerized resistance systems that automatically select the right amount of weight at exactly the right time.

"The machines  automatically increases as you're able to complete each repetition and when your unable to complete that repetition, the resistance automatically decreases," said Bob Kissel, the founder of MaxQ fitness.

What that means is you only have to do eight repetitions on each machine, and because the computer is programmed to maintain muscular stimulation throughout the entire set, clients are able to see results after the first few workouts.

"I dropped 50 pounds and went from a 38 to a 33 waist in just months," said Ian Banks, who also trains with Kissel. 

"But, I do stick to the high protein, low carbohydrate eating plan," Banks went on to say.  

In the 72 hours post work out clients are encouraged to eat small portions of protein every two hours so they always feel full, all while fueling muscle definition. The workout is also tailored to women who want to look toned and defined without bulking up. 

"People say Lisa are you working out - because I'm definitely not a weight trainer person," Lisa Hodgen laughed.  

Hodgen who juggles a hectic work schedule and a busy family life said until she discovered MaxQ fitness she never had the time to work out.  Like many MaxQ fitness fanatics Lisa says she no longer has the no time excuse.
