Fayetteville police car stolen, wrecked

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

(AP) - A woman has been taken into custody after a Fayetteville police car was stolen and wrecked.

Police say four vehicles were involved in the crash Monday afternoon.

The woman was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment of her injuries following the wreck. Her name has not been released.

Charges are pending.

Police say the woman armed with scissors and a hammer ran from officers after a confrontation and took the cruiser before the crash.
