Clearwater police seeking more info on tandem hit & run

CLEARWATER, FL (WFLA) -

After they arrested a man on charges of hitting two people on a tandem bicycle on the Memorial Causeway Monday, Clearwater police ask for public help to investigate the accident.

CPD made the arrest Tuesday night. Christopher Weed, 29, of Dunedin, ran over Robert W. Lemon and Hillary Michalak and left them for dead, according to the police report.

Lemon died from injuries. Michalak is at the hospital.

Detectives found Weed's pickup truck in his back yard. The truck is missing a windshield. 

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the crash or the man to call Clearwater Police at 727-562-4242.
