Class resumes at Forest Hills Middle following bomb threat

WILSON, N.C. -

Students at Forest Hills Middle School returned to class Thursday after being evacuated due to a bomb threat.

Wilson County Schools said it received information about a bomb threat Thursday morning and took action to evacuate students from the school.

After accounting for all students, Forest Hills Middle School is moving them to Forest Hills Baptist Church while the building is searched.

Law enforcement completed a sweep of the school and students were able to return to class around 1 p.m.

Wilson County Schools said it takes all threats to the safety of students and staff seriously.
