Fayetteville police looking for armed robbery suspect

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

Fayetteville police are asking for assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an armed robbery on Sept. 2.

The suspect robbed the Short Stop convenience store located at 3408 Murchison Road just after 1 p.m., police said. The suspect revealed a handgun while the clerk was completing his sale.

Police said the suspect left the business with an undetermined amount of money.

The suspect is described as a black male standing around 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds and in his early-30s. He was wearing a black hat, black T-shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

Fayetteville police said  this suspect is also considered a suspect in another armed robbery of the Kangaroo convenience store located at 3319 Murphy Road.
