A Farmville man is under arrest after authorities say he stole numerous items.

According to the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office James Harris Jr. was charged and arrested for pawning and selling stolen items that did not belong to him.

Harris Jr. was charged with four counts of Felony Breaking and Entering and Felony Larceny, one count of Larceny of a firearm, and seven counts of obtaining property by false pretense.

The Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is currently active and additional warrants will be obtained and the items he sold were obtained from numerous Breaking and Entering cases in the Farmville area.  Officials say approximately 35 items reported stolen were recovered; totaling a value of nearly $4,500.

Items that were recovered consisted of chainsaws, pressure washers, weed eaters, lawnmowers, various power tools, flat screen T.V., Nintendo gaming system, and gold jewelry.  There are still items recovered that authorities do not know who they belong to.  Those items are a pressure washer, push mower, and a portable air compressor.  The Sheriff’s Office says to contact Detective J.B. Monette at (252) 902-2825 if you feel that you are missing these particular items.

Harris Jr. is under a $125,000 secured bond at the Pitt County Detention Center.
