GOLDSBORO, N.C. -

A Goldsboro man is under arrest after police say he stabbed a man in his ex-girlfriend’s bed.

In the early morning hours of July 2, 2013, Shavonta Jones reported to Goldsboro Police that three people entered her apartment on Slaughter St. Once inside, police say one of the suspects stabbed Shawn Stevens, who was lying in bed. Police identified that suspect as Bryan Marquail Williams, an ex boyfriend of Jones. Police say there were also juveniles inside the apartment at the time of assault and burglary, but they were unharmed. Stevens was treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Then, on September 9, 2013, police arrested a man for indecent exposure and trespassing at a downtown Raleigh hotel. The suspect gave the name of Derrick Maye, but the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office later learned that Maye, was actually Bryan Williams.

Williams is now being held on $750,000 bond in the Wake County Detention Center. He’s facing charges of First Degree Burglary, Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury with Intent to Kill and Assault with a Deadly Weapon with a minor present.
