GREENVILLE, N.C. - Uptown Greenville continued the popular pre-football game celebration today, Freeboot Friday at the Five Points Plaza. Corresponding to East Carolina University home football games, Uptown Greenville will host three more Freeboot Friday events: October 18, November 8, and November 15.

Live music will continue to be a strong presence in Freeboot Friday’s 13th year. Local entertainment includes Spare Change (Nov. 8) and Matt Philips and Philharmonics (Oct. 18).  Regional acts like Dark Water Rising, (Oct. 18) and The Fabulous Bel-Airs (Nov. 15) will also take the stage.

In addition to the mix of music, Uptown restaurants will have a variety of food and drink for sale, as well as festivities for the kids.

A free game day shuttle from the Uptown district to Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium will be provided by the city and is sponsored by many Uptown businesses. The shuttle will run three hours prior and two hours post game on each home Saturday game  (September 14, October 19, November 9, and November 17).

The Gameday Park and Ride Shuttle will stop at four locations in the Uptown district.
