The First Tee of Savannah is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization which was established in response to a need for innovative youth support and mentoring programs in our community. The First Tee is dedicated to the mission of impacting the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote literacy, character development, and life-enhancing values taught through the game of golf. What sets The First Tee apart from other educational enrichment programs is the focus on our "Nine Core Values" - Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Responsibility, Perseverance, Courtesy, and Judgment. Through our unique Life Skills Experience, participants learn valuable lessons about how to maintain a positive attitude, how to make decisions by thinking about the possible consequences, and how to define and set goals.
The Staff, Board of Directors and all of the Volunteers for The First Tee of Savannah hope that you share their belief in the importance of teaching these values to children. They want to ask for your assistance with an upcoming event that will raise funds to support our efforts to transform the lives of children and families in our area, including low-income participants who are typically excluded from golf programs.
The First Tee of Savannah will hold "The First Tee of Savannah 2013 Golf Classic sponsored by Dick's Sporting Goods" at The Sea Pines Resort, Home of the PGA TOUR'S RBC Heritage Golf Classic at Harbour Town Golf Links on Thursday, October 10th, 2013. The event will be a Shotgun start at 12:30 pm and a Dinner/Awards Reception immediately after the event.
They are recruiting Hole sponsors, Four Person teams, Prizes and Food & Beverage Sponsors for the reception. If you are interested in this great opportunity to gain valuable exposure for your business while supporting a wonderful cause, please call The First Tee of Savannah at 912.238.7108 or go to www.thefirstteesavannah.org for more information and to register for this event.
