FOUNTAIN, N.C. -

Deputies tell 9 On Your Side that they're investigating an armed robbery outside of Fountain.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. at Curtis Quinn Used Cars. That's a used car lot on Hwy 222 near the intersection with Bell Road.

The Sheriff's Office tells us two black males entered the store armed with an handgun and knife. They tied up the owner Curtis Quinn with duct tape, demanded money and poured flammable liquid on him, but didn't light it.

Sheriff Neil Elks says Quinn suffered from a few lacerations when the suspects cut his arm with the knife.

They robbed Quinn of cash and drove off in tan-colored 1997 Saturn four door sedan.

Sheriff Elks says Quinn didn't know the suspects.

If you have any information, you are asked to call Pitt County Sheriff's Office or Pitt County CrimeStoppers.
