He's the record setting quarterback for East Carolina but can Shane Carden bounce back from his recent struggles? For a quarterback that usually throws for over 300 yards and more than a few touchdowns last Saturday had to be a tough experience for the number five in purple.
"The offense has to get better," said Carden after Tuesday's practice. "Personally, for me, just be a little more aggressive with the ball. Start attacking the defense more."
Shane Carden went from passing for 447 yards the first game, to 191 the second, then he was down to 158 last week. Much of that has to do with the competition and the way the games played out, but the numbers and the way the offense sputtered against the Hokies was concerning.
"I think I've done a good job so far just kind of taking what they've given me, but I think there's some times where I could have really attacked the defense a little better," said Carden.
With one touchdown and three interceptions in week three, Shane Carden knows he needs to play better if ECU is going to break through against ACC competition. The Pirates travel to Chapel Hill to play the Tar Heels on September 28th.
"Offensively (we've) just got to get the fundamental things down," said Carden. "Work on some little things here and there that we can correct on an off week."
Authorities are expected to release the results of autopsies on the two bodies recovered from the fiery crash that killed "Fast & Furious" actor Paul Walker and his friend.
"Fast & Furious" star Paul Walker was killed by injuries from both the impact and subsequent fire when the Porsche his friend was driving smashed into a light pole and tree, according to an autopsy released Wednesday.
