A new business in Downtown Roanoke is something owners say is guaranteed to make you smile!

If you're looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, a new business in Downtown Roanoke may help.

'The Candy Store' opened Wednesday on Campbell Avenue in Roanoke.

Owners, Lawson Jaeger and his brother Robert, say they've already received an overwhelming positive response.

Jaeger says they have 1,200 different kinds of candy. He says he got the idea when he brought his daughter downtown and thought it would be a great way to give kids something to do.

Although, don't be fooled. The store can make everyone smile. Whether it's the giant gummy bear brain or over-sized Hershey's bar, there's a little something for everyone. Getting your candy in bulk costs $2.25 per quarter bond for candy that's not chocolate. For chocolate candy ,it costs $3.35 per quarter-pound.

The Candy Store is located next to Benny Marconi's and across from Alejandro's.

Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Friday - Saturday: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Sunday: 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
