The following was submitted for publication.

The Southwest Chapter of the Virginia Nurses Association will present a drug education program entitled "Molly.  She's Not the Girl Next Door."

The event will be held on Thursday, September 26 at Virginia Highlands Community College in Abingdon.

Molly is the slang name for the powder or crystal form of MDMA, a controlled substance that is the main ingredient in Ecstasy.  Use of this illegal drug is reportedly on the rise among young people between the ages of 16 and 24.

The hour-long presentation will be held at 2 p.m. and again at 5 p.m. in Room 130 of the Instruction and Student Center (ISC) on the VHCC campus. Community members are invited to attend.

For additional information, please contact the VHCC Office of Public Relations at (276) 739-2456 or info@vhcc.edu.
