Indictments delivered in UNC investigation

Posted: Updated:

Indictments have been delivered in the investigation involving the University of North Carolina football team.

Documents obtained by WNCN show five rows of indictments in Orange County involving Special Agent A.H. Jones of the North Carolina Secretary of State's office.

Jones is the agent spearheading the investigation. The information on the five rows is blacked out.

Search warrants that were made public recently show former UNC receiver Greg Little claimed Terry Watson of the Georgia-based Watson Sports Agency provided cash and other benefits.

North Carolina law requires agents to register with the Secretary of State's office and prohibits offering gifts to entice athletes to sign representation contracts.

Orange County District Attorney Jim Woodall would not comment on the case. Liz Proctor, the public information office for the Secretary of State's office, said she could not comment on the indictments or what happens next.
