The National Hurricane Center has been issuing advisories for now Tropical Depression Karen in the Gulf of Mexico. As of 11 AM Sunday, Tropical Depression Karen was located at 28.1 N and 89.9 W, maximum sustained winds were 30 mph.
Tropical Depression Karen is being absorbed by the approaching cold front and swept eastward.All watches and warnings in association with Karen have been allowed to expire.
The system continued to look very ragged and was sheared completely apart, leading to the system's ultimate demise.
