TAMPA, FL (WFLA) - If you check out "The Voice" on News Channel 8, you might recognize two familiar faces.

Donna Allen, 54, is a former Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleader.  She sang for the first time as a teenager, and later sang backup for Gloria Estefan.  She left that job to raise her son, Marcus, who is now 17 years old.  He was with her family, who watched from backstage as Allen wowed the judges.

Allen chose Adam Levine as her coach.  Levine was so excited, he did push-ups and ran to grab Allen in an enthusiastic hug.

The other Bay area contestant is R. Anthony, a former radio host and gospel singer who lives in Tampa with his family.  Last week, he chose Cee-Lo as his coach, which surprised many people, since Cee-Lo was the last judge to turn their chair around during Anthony's performance.

"The Voice" airs Monday and Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. right here on News Channel 8.  The October 7th episode will be a continuation of the blind audition process.
