Fayetteville police are searching for four suspects they are shot two men during a home invasion on Oct. 8.
Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a shooting call just before 3 a.m. in the 1100 block of Ayton Place, police said. Officers learned that four unknown suspects forced their way into the residence.
The suspects began to assault 27-year-old Jarvis Baldwin, who was shot during the assault. Jarrett Leach, 24, was also inside the residence at the time of the incident and was shot by one of the suspects, police said.
Fayetteville police sad the four suspects left the residence with personal property of the victims.
Baldwin and Leach were transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for their injuries. Leach was released later but Baldwin remains hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, authorities said.
Police said the suspects were described as black males who were dressed in all black clothing.
The suspects vehicle collided with a fence as they fled the residence. A tail light was damaged in the collision. Police said pieces of the tail light are from a 2011 Ford Escape.
Fayetteville detectives do not believe that this incident was random.
