UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. -

"Saturday Night Live" alums Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have signed on to host the "71st Annual Golden Globe Awards."

The announcement was made Tuesday by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

"Tina and Amy are two of the most talented comedic writer/performers in our business and they were a major reason the Golden Globes was the most entertaining awards show of last season," said Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment. "We're elated they wanted to host together again and that they committed for the next two years."

As part of their agreement, Fey and Poehler will also host the awards show in 2015.

The 2013 telecast claimed the biggest Golden Globes results in six years in both 18-49 rating and total viewers since 2007. It was also the second-highest-rated Golden Globes in nine years.
