Caught on camera: Purse stolen from 93-year-old woman

GREENVILLE, N.C. - Police need your help identifying the suspect who stole a 93-year-old woman’s purse at a Greenville Dollar General.

It happened at the Dollar General store at 240 Airport Road on September 3.

Surveillance video shows the victim shopping in the store and when leaving, accidentally leaving her purse in the shopping cart. Surveillance caught a female suspect, wearing a green shirt and green shorts, take the purse from the victim’s cart and place it in her own vehicle.

The suspect appeared to be driving a white Nissan Versa.

Cash, credit/debit cards and other personal items were inside the purse.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Greenville Police Department or CrimeStoppers at 252-758-7777.
