It's the not knowing that the Dodson family says is the hardest part. Ricky Dodson's mother, daughter and grandson are waiting for answers on what happened to the 51-year-old.

"If he's out there, please come home," daughter Mandy Dodson says. "We love you and miss you. We want you back home."

Mother, Polly Dodson says she last saw her son on Thursday October 3rd.

"I knew he wasn't at home, but I didn't think anything about it because sometimes him and her would go off for the weekend or something," mother Polly Dodson says.

Polly is talking about 53-year-old Vicky Purdy. Investigators say she was last seen alive around the same time Dodson went missing. Purdy's remains were found in a burned vehicle in Franklin County last week. Henry County Sheriff's Major Ricky Walker says Dodson is not a suspect at this time. He says finding Dodson may be the key to solving the case.

The Dodson family says even though Vicky was married, the two had been dating for several years. She had attended several family events.

"It's horrible, I wouldn't wish this on nobody," Polly Dodson says. "You think all kinds of things. It's just terrible."

Police are asking anyone who with information to call the Henry County Sheriff's Office at 638-8751, or Crime Stoppers at 63-CRIME (632-7463).
