Driver cited after striking 2 cars Sunday morning

GREENVILLE, N.C. - Police say they've identified the driver who struck two parked vehicles behind Pirate Auto Care Center.

20-year-old Jacob Kelly Collins of Burlington, N.C. was cited for the hit & run violation.

Officer say it’s believed Collins, the driver of the light-colored Ford Mustang with dark racing stripes, drove behind the auto care center in an attempt to evade a police car, which may have spotted him driving erratically on East Tenth Street.

It happened just before 1 a.m. Sunday Morning.

The case is closed pending the outcome of court proceedings.
