Red Cross helping Greenville families after fire

GREENVILLE, N.C. -

The Pitt County Red Cross are helping two families after fires in Greenville on Tuesday.

A fire alarm was activated on Hop Tyson Road this afternoon and firefighters also responded to a fire around 5 this on Bernice Lane.

Investigators tell "9 on your side" the Bernice Lane fire started in a dryer.

The Pitt County Red Cross says it's helping a family of two adults and three children who lived at the home on Bernice Lane and a family of eight from Hop Tyson Road..

So far there are no reports of injury.
