Conley improves to 26-0 with convincing 2nd round win

DH Conley ran its record to a perfect 26-0 with a convincing win over Pinecrest in the 2nd round of the 4A state volleyball playoffs Tuesday night.

Conley won the match in straight games, 25-8, 25-4 and 25-20. The Vikings will now take on Pine Forest at home in the 3rd round on Thursday night.

Kalee Vanderhorst had nine kills and Brittney Beaulieu had seven in the victory. Kori Adams collected 17 assists for the Vikings.

Also Tuesday night, JH Rose beat Scotland County on the road. The Rampants now travel to Hoggard in the third round. If Rose and Conley both advance the two will meet on Saturday in the fourth round.

Farmville Central's season came to an end at home on Tuesday night as the Jaguars fell to Southern Vance.
