Newport cocaine trafficker sentenced to federal prison

BEAUFORT, N.C. - A Newport man, convicted of cocaine trafficking, is headed to federal prison.

The Carteret County Sheriff’s Office says 30-year-old Jason Andrew Embry was sentenced in Federal Court October 1 to 21 years, 8 months in prison. He was a high level cocaine distributor in eastern North Carolina.

Following his sentencing, deputies arrested three suspects associated with Embry; 59-year-old Dennis Franklin Graham Sr., 59-year-old Jeffrey Allan Parmley, and his mother, 52-year-old Vickie Frazier Embry.
